It happened at the Revolution Ice Gardens, 1621 Mearns Road, on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18, Warwick police said in a release.

The rink's manager called authorities around 12:45 p.m. after "parents from opposing teams got into a verbal confrontation, which turned physical," according to the police report. At least one witness described a man placing a woman in a headlock.

When officers arrived at the rink, all the involved parents had been separated and some had already left, wrote Chief Mark Goldberg.

"Some potential victims were among those who left the area and have not been identified," Goldberg said. "Other potential victims who remained were reluctant to prosecute."

No one appears to have been seriously injured, he added.

"Charges will be filed if appropriate, and that information will be posted promptly if it happens," the release says.

The brawl remains under investigation.
